Mount Pleasant Senior Center Now Open

The Mt. Pleasant Senior Center is now open at 840 Von Kolnitz Road in Mt. Pleasant off of Mathias Ferry Road a short distance from the Mt. Pleasant Library. Membership fees are a very reasonable $72 a year for Charleston County Residents. They are open Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 8:00pm., Friday 7:00am. to 6:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00am until 1:00pm. The Center offers an exercise room, library, computers and wi-fi, personal training for a nominal fee, massage therapist with free "mini" massages, exercise classes, music and dance classes, computer classes, arts and crafts, cards and games as well as learning and social events. The town of Mt. Pleasant is home to a number of retirement and assisted living facilities such as Somerby, Sandpiper,The Franke Home and Cooper Hall to name a few.The new Charleston Del Webb Community in Summerville south Carolina certainly offers a great option for many retirees. However, with senior facilities and activities for seniors in the town of Mt. Pleasant, one might want to consider purchasing a townhome or condo in Mt.
